Artist Biography
Jonathan Couvent first approached photography as a game: capturing light, freezing a fleeting instant. Over years of practice, he sought subjects in architecture, landscapes, and nature, but it was in the human figure that he found his fullest expression. From carefully composed, worked, and retouched photo sessions to unposed, unfiltered street photography, his vision shifted. Photography became an art, not just a game.
His work centers on a search for the natural. It is reality he wants to show, imperfections included, along with all its warmth and fragility. In the end, it is the human, the beauty of life itself, that inspires him.
